How it works
The system does the customs work. You supervise.
tariffs.help reads your catalog and suggests a customs code for every product, showing its work as it goes. It settles the vast majority on its own; only the genuine unknowns come back to you, in plain language.
How it reaches a suggestion
Every product runs down a ladder of checks.
Each step only handles what the one before it couldn't, so the system settles most codes on its own, and only the real unknowns ever reach you.
Reuse the codes you already have
If your data already carries customs codes, each one is checked against the official catalogue and the good ones are kept as a starting point.
Read your product text
Titles, descriptions and specs usually say what a product is made of and how it's built, often enough to suggest the right code.
Check the barcode
A barcode can reveal the exact make and model, which frequently points straight to the code the text alone couldn't pin down.
Look at the product images
When the words fall short, your photos show the material and construction details that decide which code a product belongs to.
Research the web
For the tricky few, the product is looked up online (manufacturer pages, spec sheets and public customs rulings) to settle the code with real evidence.
Ask you, in plain language
Whatever's still unsure becomes one short question about materials or construction, no codes, no jargon. You can even forward it to your supplier.
The product is a non-tufted floor covering made from wool felt. Its material and construction match this heading.
You stay in control
It suggests. You decide. Nothing is locked in.
Every code is yours to review, and each suggestion tells you how sure it is, so you know exactly where to spend your time.
Every suggested code is one click from a change, and every code the system applied on its own can be undone. You always have the final say.
Each code remembers how it was reached, the signal that decided it and the reasoning behind it, ready for your compliance file when customs asks.
Every suggestion wears a plain band: high confidence, worth a quick look, or let's check together, so you know where to look first.
Customs classification technology
Built to find the right customs code.
tariffs.help runs on technology we developed specifically for customs classification. It looks at what a product does, what it is made of and how it is built, and checks those details against the official customs catalog.
You get a well-founded suggestion with clear reasoning and an indication of how confident we are in it. You always review and approve the customs code before it is used in a customs declaration.
